1. When will I be able to read Wish?

Wish will be available in 2024. Keep your eyes peeled for an official release date. Those who have signed up for my newsletter will be the first to know.

2. Is Wish told in first or third person?

Wish is written in third person with multiple POVs. You’ll spend most of your time with Mora, however. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

3. What inspired you to write Wish?

Wish was inspired by a dream. I often have incredibly vivid dreams that I love to share with my husband. But Wish’s dream was extra special. It stuck with me, so I wrote it down. And as I continued to think about it, I continued to write more and more. Until I realized that I was writing a book.

My dream took place around three quarters of the way through the story. When I truly began to write Wish I had to go back to the beginning and figure out how Mora found herself in the situation she was in when I met her in dreamland.

My husband and I had recently discussed Disney’s Aladdin, which may be why I had a genie on my mind, as well as why Mora is loosely like Jasmine. If Jasmine had been cursed to be a genie. But, otherwise, Wish is nothing like Aladdin. This is a dark fantasy romance and is intended for an adult audience.

Wish also has a nod to Dragon Age, one of my favourite video game series.

4. Will there be spice?

There will be spice! But keep in mind that this is a slow burn, so you’ll have to be patient. I promise it’s worth the wait. <3

5. How many books will there be in the series?

As a pantser, I can’t 100% promise that things won’t change. Mora is honestly the one in charge here… please don’t tell her I said that! But, at this time, my vision for The Onyx Mist Series is 3 Books with at least 1 Prequel Novella.
